Extraordinary Year, Extraordinary People

Within the Greater Boston business community, there are many extraordinary leaders who have met the extraordinary challenges of this year head on. They include biotech professionals racing to create a vaccine that can safely protect billions from the Covid-19 virus and health care professionals helping to treat the sick, bankers hastening to connect small businesses with federal aid and community and higher education leaders leading the charge on a reenergized movement toward equality.

Benjamin Franklin Institute names new CEO

The Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, a small private college in Boston's South End, has a new leader. The college named Aisha Francis its new chief executive officer. Francis becomes the new head of the college as the current president, Anthony Benoit, transitions into an advisory role and exits by the end of the school year, Benoit told the Business Journal. Francis' appointment went into effect Aug. 15. Francis is expected to oversee the college during its transition to a new campus.
